The Course

Located on the Llyn Peninsula in Gwynedd, North Wales, Clwb Golff Abersoch offers a warm welcome to members and visitors alike. The Abersoch golf course was designed by Harry Vardon in 1907 who described the original course as 'The finest 9 hole course in Wales'. Those nine holes have now been extended over parkland to eighteen holes fulfilling one of Harry Vardon's dreams.

Best advice is to play here with one of the locals, as there are subtle tests that will likely only be seen once they are encountered. The members may also be able to give you a helping hand in pronouncing the names of each of the holes, all of which are named, in Welsh, from local landmarks, fields or views.

There are so many highlights to mention, but the par five 11th is a particular standout that deserves your full attention. Abersoch Golf Club has recently been voted as the 5th best golf course in the UK in it's category by Today's Golfer Magazine.
