The Course
Set amongst the beautiful scenery of Snowdonia National Park you will find the most superb championship links course. Golf was first played at Aberdovey in 1886 and the links have been developed into one of the finest courses in Wales. The club is situated at the mouth of the Dovey Estuary and nestles between the Cambrian Mountain range and the coastal dunes of Aberdovey Beach.Aberdovey is one of the most popular courses in Wales, famed for its quality and test of skill. The course wends a traditional route out and back, with sand dunes and the wind acting as friend and foe. It is a place worth a long pilgrimage for any golfer.
The clubhouse was totally rebuilt in 1997 and now boasts some of the best golfing facilities to be found in Wales. The club and staff have an enviable reputation for offering a warm and friendly welcome. This is extended to visitors and members alike, both on the course and in the clubhouse. There is so much history at Aberdovey that you cannot help but fall in love with the place.
